...always shows personal concern for people I am writing this message to express my sincere gratification towards Sensei “Butch” Torres for his involvement in my son’s basic karate training. My son is about to test for his purple belt and much of his success and preparation came as a direct result of him following the instruction of Sensei Butch Torres. At age 6, my son is not always as aggressive as some of the older students. However, I have witnessed on several occaions how much more my son, and other students, get involved when Sensei Butch is in charge. When Sensei Butch is involved, classes seemed to be more interesting for both students and parents. I have observed Sensei Butch both in and out of class and have always been impressed with his demeanor and character. Sensei Butch always shows personal concern for people in general and possesses the rare quality of being able to have ‘fun” while maintaining focus and discipline. Therefore, I highly recommend Sensei Butch as an instructor in teaching the skills of martial arts (karate).

as parents appreciate everything... Sensei Butch Torres is excellent with kids, and you can feel that when he talks to them. He motivates my son and helps him in every way he can. Sensei Butch’s direction and motivation as a Sensei and as a caring Mentor has improved my sons attitude, self esteem and has made him a respectable young man in and out of the Dojo. We as parents appreciate everything that Sensei Butch has done and continues to do for our son, and look forward to having him as a family friend for many years to come.

...gives a 100% of himself My son has been attending the Karate Academy under the direct instruction of Sensei "Butch" Torres for the past year. My son has successfully tested for his purple belt and is looking forward to joining the "Black Belt Club" in the near future.I have noticed over the past 6 months that my 15 year-old son has a new sense of self assurance and has experienced a tremendous amount of personal growth. I attribute his high self esteem directly to the classes he has taken with Sensei "Butch" Torres . Sensei "Butch" Torres gives a 100% of himself to all his classes and to all his students. The techniques he uses are delivered in a sound professional manner and always stressing self respect, respect for others and respect for teachers, parents and mentors. Children, teenagers and adults experience not only a class to learn Karate techniques and moves, but also real-life scenarios that enhance the overall objective of becoming responsible people sharing the world.
