Richard Hawkins SenseiI began to entertain a long repressed desire to learn more Self-Defense and Martial Arts. After noticing the Big Red KARATE sign in front of the 4 Towers Marital Arts dojo and seeing the lights on in the dojo every evening as I made my way back and forth from work. Evening after evening the Big Red KARATE letters challenged me and reminded me of an old unkept promise I had made to myself many years ago. But then, I would remind myself that I was 61 years old, and not as quick or limber as I was, or should be. After much self convincing I gathered enough courage and stopped by the KARATE dojo to get information. I can not explain my surprise when Sensei Debbie did not seem the least bit put off by my gray hair, and not only explained the program to me but made me feel welcomed and feel as a member of her family. Now I feel privileged to be able to say that the "store-front" has become my DOJO. After hours of instruction, I have learned that I can never be sure about exactly what may happen when I step through the front door of the dojo onto the traditional wood floor, remove my shoes, bow at the edge of the mats, and step back in time 1800 years to the time of the Samurai. |

| Discipline, Courage, Honor and Respect have new meaning to me. Each day the drills and challenges are different and new. The question is, can I do this? The answer is YES YOU CAN with the instruction and encouragement from Sensei Butch, Sensei Debbie, Sensei Josh and Sensei Nikki.
Respectfully, Richard A. Hawkins |

Dan and Leslie Elcock, StudentsLeslie Elcock - When my husband talked about us taking Martial Arts I was excited but a little apprehensive. Growing up I never participated in organized sports and have never been coordinated or strong. I was not sure I could do it. We looked at several different websites and called a few schools and ended up visiting 4 Towers Martial Arts. We talked with the owners Butch Torres Sensei and Debbie Torres Sensei and watched a class. We instantly felt that we had found our school and the style, Shi Tou Sei Do, that we wanted to pursue. |

It's been six months and I can't believe that I'm doing this. I've learned to fall properly so I don't hurt myself. I've learned many different techniques that I don't need to be strong to do but are highly effective. I've learned that anyone can do this from children to seniors and yes even people who are not strong or athletic. The teachers are patient and caring and warm. We are welcomed as part of a family. I would recommend 4 Towers Martial Arts to anyone who wants a great experience. Dan Elcock - When I was younger I studied Tae Kwon Do for a time but as will happen when people get older, I found that I had fallen out of my study of martial arts. This has always bothered me because I loved it so much. I would often talk about those days with my wife and I would say that someday I wanted to study again and that I would love for her to do it with me. She would always humor me but late last year I finally decided I had talked enough and it was time to do something about it. |

I did a lot of online research. I read a lot of reviews. And then, while reading a review of 4 Towers Martial Arts I saw something that really caught my eye. There was mention that before being recommended for Black Belt each student must complete 40 hours of community service. That was certainly different. I checked out their website and found a theme of family and community running though every page. Here was a school that didn't require contracts, offered a free intoductory class and even offered a money back guarantee. I had nothing to lose. So my wife and I decided to pay a visit. The dojo was so much cleaner, brighter and nicer than any school I had seen before. The weapons hung on the walls and the wooden floors and Torii gates told me that we had found something different, something special. After speaking to Butch Sensei and Debbie Sensei we knew we had found our school. They were warm and inviting and spoke with passion about teaching karate. We couldn't wait to start. |

| It has been six months since we joined 4 Towers Martial Arts and I'm glad every day that we did. I see a new confidence in my wife and am so impressed with her progress. I feel more self-assured and focused. We have fun training in martial arts together and it has had such positive effects on our relationship. We deal with our conflicts differently and more productively. Martial arts is becoming a lifestyle. The core values of Discipline, Courage, Honor and Respect that are the pillars of 4 Towers Martial Arts are values we truly take to heart and Butch Sensei and Debbie Sensei and the other students really make us feel like part of a family. If you are looking for a truly excellent martial arts school look no further. 4 Towers Martial Arts stands head and shoulders above the rest. | ||
